Acer Iconia Tab W500

The wireless had been working and the last few days it won't connect to the internet. The icon in the bottom right shows it is not connected. The tablet says that there is a network available, but every time I try to connect I get a message that says can't connect.

Don't know what to do to solve this problem as the Device Manager says that the wireless is working properly. Can someone tell me how to get this tablet to connect again.

What version of Android is it running currently? Is it updated? And are other devices able to connect to the same wireless network?

Try removing the connection and setting it back up again. It's possible you have the wrong security password.

Well, it was working, and then stopped, so I had entered the correct security password. In the control panel I went into Network and Sharing Center and when I clicked on "See full map" I got a message that said the adapter was disconnected.

Well, I don't know what to say, as I was typing the adapter connected. This thing hasn't worked for several days and now it starts working all by itself. This beats all. Now I am not a computer geek, but I am pretty good at computers and I have never seen this happen before. But thanks anyway for you help.

Well, guys I don't know what to say. I was sitting in front of the tab trying to figure out something to do, and the darn thing connected by itself. Now I am not a computer geek, but I can do a lot with a computer and I have never seen this before. Oh, well, it's working now. Thanks for the help.

If you have any other issues, try removing the save/preferred networks and re-connecting to yours. I have the same tablet and it's been doing well online. The only issues I've had are from it waking up. Upon a reboot it's fine. However mine is running Windows 8.

With W7 it happens alot, especially in my household :p one of the mysteries of Windows that I have never been able to work out :p
