Boot Manager Error

Hey guys, I just received my new 1tb hdd for my laptop and I installed it and such and now im proceeding into installing Windows 7 Home Premium x64 on it. Well.....no dice. I have the OEM serial code on the underside of the laptop and so I downloaded the official windows 7 iso since I don't have the original OEM disk that never came with the laptop.

i downloaded it from Malwaretips:
http://malwaretips.com/blogs/download-windows-7-sp1-iso/

Burned a bootable disk with it and when popping it into the laptop, It loads the files half way and they just stops! Then I get an error message in "Boot Manager" error 0xc00000e9'' info: An unexpected I/O error has occured.''

It also says it can be due to unplugging a hard drive or other essential hardware. Its weird though because I'm thinking its a DOA hdd but it shows up in BIOS.

Yes, definately test the drive. Just because it shows up in bios doesn't mean its not bad. What brand of drive is it?

Since WD doesn't have the iso for dos cd image you'll have either have to download and create a hirens boot cd which has the wd diagnostic on it or take the drive out of the laptop and put in a desktop and use the WD windows utility to scan the drive. But I highly recommend using the dos utility.
