Without the internet, what would you do instead?

Have you ever thought about what your life would be like without the internet? For example would you spend more time with family and friends, watching a tv or reading a good book. Maybe you don't know or need time to think it through, or maybe something else?

This thread has quite a history and may be one of the most interesting I've ever created. I've simplified the title to make it clearer. Even with that, the question may be hard for you to answer, but hard questions are more interesting. Anyways it should generate a great deal of interesting discussion. Thank you for your participation.

I would die, internet is my life, I spend all my day on it, I can't even live without my connection...

You make it sound like a drug (might be a good substitute).

It is, I need my dose of internet everyday, but now I need for at least 13 hours a day.

No seriously, do you have like a whole bunch of useless questions like this one?

Seriously, you'd be one of the few who'd think it's useless. Others have found it interesting and worthwhile to discuss (in fact, that's the title of this category). Are you suggesting this category is useless?

I would probably get back to some things I used to do. Like flying R/C sailplanes. But, can't really blame the internet all the way. When I got into computer's is the really down fall. Been jacking with computer since 1987, and the internet around 1990. Boy, that was fun, everything was text based still and there was no www (World Wide Web) let. Or any browsers yet either. You had to know Unix to get around in it. Had to jack around with Veronica and Jughead to get around on the net. You kids have it so easy now.

Now ya got me thinking when i was young. No internet, AM radio only. And when we did get a tv it was as big as a refrigerator. Not cable, maybe 6 or 8 channels, black and white only and picture rolled all the time. 8" screen maybe. no remote control. no such thing.

Hmmm...interesting topic you brought out here...I must admit that...

Well...here is my answer (which I already used once before):

Near the ending of Freeman's mind episode 46 a scientist asks him:

"You are heading for the Lambda complex aren't you?"

And Freeman answers:

"I have no idea."

So my answer to the question what I would do without the internet is the same:

I HAVE NO IDEA. :D

I hoped to bring out a topic that's different, yet relevant and challenging. Up until about 50 years, we didn't even have an internet and the human races survived quite well. Some people feel we're addicted to the internet. There's essentially nothing wrong with the internet for the most part, but there's also internet alternatives. I'm sure some users will come up with some creative answers.

Probably just go back to how it was in the early to mid 90's, I used the internet kind of but really still spent more of my time on a computer but with installed software and games. I didn't feel much use for the internet back then.
