Exactly. Most people don't realize that it has 480 cuda cores (240 x2), just like a gtx 480 and 570. The 570 still out performs it by about 5% typically, but thats not that much. The 295 easily outperforms a 470 and 560 Ti.

Have you got some links for that mate, because I don't see anything showing that the 295 is close to the 570, thanks

Well it's hard to find any results from a gtx 570 because they almost never compare it to the 295, it's always compared to the 400 series. But, the gtx 480 is nearly identical performance to the 570 so just look for reviews from a 480-

As you can see, the 295 regularly beats the 480. However, this was due to immature drivers on initial release. Since the newer drivers they are nearly identical, possibly even the 480/570 having the edge in performance. But like I said, within 5% typically. And like I said, always beats a 470 and 560 Ti.

While performance is similar, most seem to frown on 200 series because of lack of DX11 support. Honestly, DX11 is overrated. I only use it because I have it, but you have to really look for the differences as they are only subtle eye candy differences. It's like the difference in 4x AA and 16x AA, very little to no noticeable difference.

There was a much larger gap in DX9 to DX10 than there is 10 to 11.

I want the card but can't afford it lol Yeah I loved my GTX 260 216, DX 11 isn't that big of a deal.

Yeah itis when you have something that can handle some tesselation which makes things wayyy better

depends on the game, 95% don't use tesselation much if not at all. I still wouldn't call it WAYYYY better anyway lol. Heaven benchmark is extremely exaggerated compared to actual games.

And even so, games that use extreme tesselation, you better have atleast a gtx 670 anyway to even think about taking advantage of it at all. gtx 480 performance wouldn't be able to turn on the eye candy anyway.

Guys unless you're interested in purchasing the item up for sale, please refrain from random discussion.

If it had HDMI I'd buy it. Good luck with the sale though :good:

Where in the rules does that apply? If 87 is entering into the discussion, and its not interfering in the sale (in his opinion) then why the hell would you hold back a good discussion. Wow.

Secondly, nothing about the discussion is random, they're asking about its relative performance etc. Geez man take a chill pill.

I know it's the same. I'm looking for audio is why I want HDMI (it would go in my HTPC).
