Why ping is so big?

Hello, I had a good internet. it was 4mb/s but it was enough for me. Then I got a message from the internet provider, that from 2nd September my Internet will be 2x speeder than before. I thought that it is gonna be great. But, 2nd September I got a message from them, that my DSL line can't accept 2x more speed, so it is now 4,5mb/s. Actually, my speed is normal,I can browse fastly and my download speed is big, but the weird things are with pings. For example online games. I have normally 65ms and then randomly it gets 350. I have no idea why. Is this could be provider problem. Or maybe I need to do something with my settings? I also tested with pingtest.net and results are really good.

It could be the servers you're connecting to while playing games, or it could just be your connection. DSL isn't really known for having the best latency... If you set up a continuous ping in command prompt, do you get high times or dropped packets?

Ring your service provide and get them to change your server that you connect too, I did that and have much better results/.
