Ps3

I have an LCD monitor with a DVI only port.

I have a PS3 (which my mate gave to me).

Question: Please confirm whether it is correct to simply get an HDMI/DVI converter cable to plug in from my PS3 to monitor?

Also, if I wish to plug in my desktop PC to the monitor, aswell as my PS3, do I need a double as the monitor has only one port?

Many thanks

That is correct. However if your monitor doesn't have built in speakers, you'll have to use the PS3's RCA cables for audio. Buy a RCA to 3.5mm adapter if you plan to use desktop speakers. For your PC, just swap the HDMI to DVI cable between your PS3 and PC when you're not using one of the two.

Hi Justin,

Please would you confirm that I need to get these three things:

PS3 AV audio cable: (my mate lost these)

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Brand-Audio...&qid=1389533677&sr=8-1&keywords=PS3+RCA+cable

RCA to 3.5mm adapter:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cables-To-G...89533766&sr=8-1&keywords=RCA+to+3.5mm+adapter

3.5mm adapter:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Coupler-Ada...&qid=1389533796&sr=8-3&keywords=3.5mm+adapter

So, the PS3 AV audio cable connects (red and white) with the 'RCA to 3.5mm adapter', then that connects to the 3.5mm adapter and finally I plug my speakers (green cable) into that metal adapter?

Many thanks
