I don't know how my Upload managed to be more than double my download...

I'm suppose to be getting about 60 down.

Use to have 100 Mbps download speed, but had to downgrade. You can only get what a server dishes out so 25 Mbps is fine. 25 Mbps is what I pay for.

Not a bad connection for $50/month including basic cable (Was cheaper to get cable + internet than just to get internet. But that's Comcast for you...).

Getting fibre-optic internet by March next year. My town is being upgraded as we speak, but I've not got it just yet. Should be getting ~70MB/s down and ~10MB/s up when I get that. :D

A big upgrade from my current speed!

So fibre will be about 14 times faster download and about 10 times faster upload than what I have now. :)

What package deal is that? I had that for a promo 12 month price

Internet Plus promo (basic (locals)+ HBO + 25/5 internet), and then $10/month to bump up to the 50/10 package from the 25/5. I'll be moving in less than 12 months though, and one of my housemates will probably sign up with comcast to get another 12 months of promo pricing (although, the "I'm switching to DSL" has gotten a number of people I know back on another 12 months promo pricing). Although, I may go with FTTP since it's reasonably priced in my area, especially being split among 5 people.

Nice! I cancelled and they didn't offer me that. I'm waiting a couple months and will probably sign back up for the Extreme 105 package at $89.99 for 12 months.

If they offer any internet or double play promos for $30-40 in your area, you may be able to get the Extreme 105 for a few bucks cheaper, for most areas it's a $10 surcharge over "Premium" 25/5 to get the "Blast" 50/10, and a $45 surcharge for the Extreme 105.

I never knew that, good to know.

The terms say that the promo pricing is for anyone who doesn't have any Xfinity services, so going by that you can simply cancel, wait a short time, then sign back up. I used my Verizon LTE phone as a hotspot for about 2 months, and signed up online and had no issue getting the promo.
