This LG monitor is 30 dollars off and I am highly considering it, I am also thinking about 3 VN247H-P monitors for eyefinity but I came here for opinions. Are these decent monitors? Am I living in the past for wanting these monitors when new resolutions are on the rise such as 1440p and 4k, especially since I am building a new rig soon?

Five years ago i came here with help for the build you see in my signature. I7 920, 4850 X2 gpu, etc. I was satisfied then and am still satisfied now that It still works well but struggles with new games.
I plan to do another build soon with a I7 4770k, 290x, etc. (Something powerful that will last another 5 years maybe?)
I started a little build thing here that is like 10% complete lol.
