Help me pick a laptop

Hey guys. New here. Well I'm in the market for a new computer. I don't really play no games. Just email, surf web and I like to YouTube and watch videos. Also I have a salt camera and a go pro hero 3+ I'd like to put pics and videos on.

My current laptop stutters real bad when trying to watch or edit my go pro videos. So I'm really looking for something a lil better. I've looked more at gaming laptops with good video cards. I don't really care for desktops but would that be the better way to go?

Currently looking at this but is this overkill?

That would not really be over kill.....it would be on the higher end of what you would want though. I would recommend this laptop for you instead though.

I do about the same type of things on my laptop that you do on yours. This is the laptop that I own and it works just fine for all of the tasks that I do on an everyday basis. This laptop is also about half the cost of the one you listed.

If I may ask what are you using to edit videos with? I am only asking cause if the software is high end enough a dedicated card is usually better since most high end video editing software relies on cuda cores.

Vegas is pretty premium stuff, get something with a dedicated Nvidia GPU. The one you originally posted would get the job done but you could probably find a notebook running a Nvidia 750 GT for around 1k that would get the job done.
