I ran this test in the course of diagnosing a freeze up problem which started suddenly and with increasing frequency. Can someone give me an interpretation of the results. I'm assuming I should replace the memory, which is this:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820134636

Thanks for your help.

Have you ran memtest on each individual stick? You linked to a 2gb sticks so assuming you have 2 of them in your system. You can either replace both or try to figure out if only 1 stick is bad by running memtest on the individual sticks.

I was just trying to decide if it would be better to replace them both, even if only one is bad. I still have to run the one at a time test. Thanks for the feedback.

If both sticks came in one kit then return both, if you bought them in separate packs then return only the bad one.

The two memory sticks turned out to be unmatched. It was the newest one that was bad, and which the mfg(Kingston) has agreed to repair since it's an out of production model. In the meantime, I have purchased 2 new memory sticks.

As an afterthought to this I decided to check the memory in another computer with 4x2gb, and I found 1 of 4 there that was bad. The mfg(Corsair) is replacing all 4.
