hi all,

as its near christmas i thought i will treat myself in getting a windows tablet but i cant decide what one to get -

ASUS T100 - 32gbSSD 2gb (not many ports as the 200 but its cheaper and longer battery)

ASUS T200 - 32gbSSD/500gb 2gb (not bothered about the docks HD)

Dell Venue 11 Pro - 64gbSSD 4gb (does it include the keyboard in the base price unlike the Surface)

Microsoft Surface Pro 3 - 64gbSSD 4gb (not even considering this but how does it compare to the Venue)

all im going to be using this is for surfing/streaming the internet and probaby word not going to be storing data on it so storage is no problem but 32gb does sound too small

what one would you go for and why

We are selling Linx Windows Tablets at school and we're really impressed by them. For what you want to do they'll be ideal and probably cheaper than the competition (and yes, they run Windows 8.1, not Windows RT 8.1). They have quad-core Atoms and 2GB RAM and run quickly. You can get a keyboard/stand for the 10.1" one.

Tablets: http://www.businessdirect.bt.com/ca...ail&utm_campaign=email121114&utm_content=i900

Keyboard for 10.1" model: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Linx-Origam...&qid=1416771485&sr=8-1&keywords=linx+keyboard

You can add a microSD card to those tablets to get extra space so don't worry about 32GB storage.

I have a Surface RT and it's a nice tablet but expensive for what it is and Windows RT 8.1 is somewhat restrictive. My Surface is 32GB and about 15GB of that is the OS, so you're left with about 15GB to play with which is not a bad amount of space but most tablets will allow microSD expansion. One of our technicians at school has the Venue and he likes it I think.

Toshiba also make some good ones but I don't know if you can get a keyboard for them or not/

That's more of a computer, than a tablet. It may be thin, but feels more like a laptop, having a built in keyboard, as well as a bigger screen

The Surface Pro 3 is pretty expensive but I love mine. It is THE most portable full Windows device I have ever see or used. It works great as a tablet and as a laptop. I have a dock for it and when placed in the dock with external monitor, keyboard mouse, etc... it does a pretty good job as a desktop replacement. I have the model with the i5 cpu, 4GB RAM and 128GB ssd. I also have a 128GB microSD card plugged into it to use for data storage. Not for everyone maybe but definitely an awsome device.

Prior to the SP3, I had a Dell Venue 8 Pro which was also pretty nice. The DV8P isn't as capable as the SP3 but could be all you need or want depending upon what you want to do with it.

Yeah, the 2000 dollar version, which my dad has, is super powerful.

I7, 8 gigs of ram, and a 960GB sad.

Handles stuff like AutoCAD fine as well

You know the asus tablets use a keyboard dock but how are the linx/surface/venue tablets connect to the keyboards, is it via bluetooth?

Linx via Bluetooth, Venue 11 has a docking keyboard. Surface has a keyboard that attaches magnetically and doubles as a cover for the unit.

The dell 5000 is quad core 2gb but the 7000 is dual core 4gb

The linx and asus's are quad core 2gb

Would you go for a dual 4gb or quad 2gb
