Ok not looking to break the bank. Looking for a computer to do you basic school functions, excel, word, web surf and also, the most draining function, run FL Studio for music production. I need this to run smooth, not looking for a gaming rig.

Let me know what you guys think, thanks

I got a HP Envy computer for $650.00 from Walmart. It is fast and has plenty of storage. I am a online student, so I needed something fast and reliable. The best money I ever spent. Here is the link for you: https://www.google.com/shopping/pro...l87M&ei=CGGHVKbWNoWWyQTZrYEY&ved=0COgBEKYrMAQ

Are you looking to build or buy it built?

You'll get a better bang for your buck if you build it yourself.
What ever you do listen to the guys on this forum lol. they will sure point you in the rightest direction.

Lookin for around 450-500, not looking for a gaming computer, if you think this is the best way to get what I need though that's fine. I am going to build not buy a premade. I'd figure RAM is probably the most important aspect for the multitasking aspect. If I'm wrong definitely let me know

Honestly, with what you said, you're not going to need much. Just go with an AMD APU, like the A10-6800k, and at least 8Gb of ram and you'll be fine.
