I have Windows 8 and am using Windows Live Mail which has Spell Check, but my Word Pad doesn't. Can somebody tell me the quickest and easiest way to put Spell Check into my Word Pad?

WordPad is basically an extremely stripped down version of Word, which means it doesn't have spell check.

If you want an office applications with spell check, download OpenOffice.

Failing that TinySpell is a free windows app that should do the trick for you.

Notepad++ also has spell check if you need something more lightweight than a full office suite.

You could install this little utility which will provide spell checking in apps that don't include spell check (such as WordPad): TinySpell

Oops! Didn't see that Ghost already suggested TinySpell. In that case, I second Ghost's suggestion!

Can try WordWeb the free ver. might work for ya. Ive used the Pro ver for years.

Thanks everybody for all the help and tips, I went for open office which is more than I really need.
