2008 gaming pc bring it back?

I am wanting to play games like arma 3 and iracing so pretty graphic intense games.

I bought my computer 8 years ago and its outdated it has
M2a-vm motherboard
4gb ddr2 ram
3 ghz cpu x2
onboard graphics 690g chipset.
Windows vista but my harddrive broke so im not sure about this system having potential or not?

It was considered a gaming pc in 2008
would this run any newer games if i put a $100 graphics card into it? Or would it be better to just start fresh with a new motherboard?

If your looking to play arms 3 etc I'd build a new PC completely. You ideally want a good Intel quad core and ddr3 memory with a decent graphics card. Depending on what resolution your looking to play aswell you could get low end parts or scrape by with a few parts to your current build. But it's pretty outdated for those types of games.

I agree with tylerjrb, trying to revamp old mainboard, cpu and ram for something like arma 3 would be a pointless exercise. It would run like a three legged camel!

Yeah for you'd want an entirely new PC.

Agreed, you're not going to get anything out of that at this point. Time for a new compter. Also you spelled your name wrong.

Time for a new build from the ground up.
