OS: Win 7. Should I?

Almost done buying everything needed for my best build.
Currently on our home PC and laptop we have Win. 8.
We are def. not fans. And we do use the option to mimic Win 7.
My wife and I both use Win. 7 @ work and are very comfortable with it.
How crazy would I be if I installed Win. 7 (64bit prof).
I understand 10 is around the corner. And if 10 turns out to be something great I will get 10. But until then.....
Now what is this I hear about Windows no longer offering updates for Win 7?

Thanks everyone

Windows 7 is updated and supported until January 14, 2020 so I have no idea where you heard it's not getting updates anymore. Windows XP doesn't get updates anymore, but that was almost a year ago.

If you want Windows 7, then go with it. I was always against Windows 8 until I installed it on my primary desktop and put ClassicShell on it. What is it that you don't like about it even with ClassicShell?

Use what you're comfortable with but 7 is still supported for another 5 years or so as said above so not sure why are you concerned.

maybe try the classic shell, and if that doesn't work for you get window 7. I use it and I am happy with it to the utmost.

That's a waste of money personally. They already offer such a similar experience. If you're that picky though, by all means..

Also you're probably confusing XP end of support with Win 7

If you are not fans of windows 8 then making the transition to windows 7 will be the best thing for you to do. Before you do this remember to back up unless you want to run the risk of losing everything

Update those computers to Win 8.1, heck of a lot better. it's is amazing how people can not adapt to change. A buddy of mine hires for a big company, he asks all interviewers if they would rather use Win 7 or learn to use Win 8/8.1. I don't know how he hires, but not a single person that chose the former was hired. It's called change.....BTW, those that know code will tell you there is not a heck of a lot of difference between what happens in the core of the systems. Of course, if you already have Win 7 then why not save the dollars and upgrade to Win 10 if you like it.
