im just not a fan of them while looking for video cards they are 8 times out of 10 on the bottom compared to NVidia

I personally go for nVidia myself because they're the best performers and they have PhysX.

My next card will probably be Nvidia, but for the price that I got my 280X it stomps on Nvidia..

I like the look of the GeForce GTX logos on the sides of some of the cards... Just looks so dangerous haha..

What are you playing where the 760 holds you back? It's a very solid card still for 1080p gaming. Going to a 960 isn't worth the price in my opinion, but a 970 would be beneficial if you want to spend that much.

Most normal games i can play medium setting alright but if i got to high or ultra its start to drop below 50 frames, and i think there is something wrong with my card aswell, because i cant hookup a second monitor through VGA, it displays for a while then freezes the whole computer it makes me have to push the reset button, one of my friends is using a 580 and he can use 2 monitors no problem

the r9 290x is a great bang for the buck as well. ive always been an nvidia guy, but after the 970 ordeal, i decided to go with AMD for the 1st time in 10 years, and i cant say im disappointed, its a really great card. but as soon as nvidia releases some gm200 chips, im selling out on AMD and going green again. i got the powercolor pcs+ version. it is a beast running at 1440p. for the same price as the 970, its something to consider, although i do miss my physx........

I saw a video comparing the r9 280 and the gtx 960. They were basically the same and most of the time the gtx960 trumped the 280 in fps. The 280 is only better in numbers when you look at a chart, but in reality the performance of the two is the same.

yea amd does tend to beat the pricing of nvidia. and people are still willing to pay more. like me with my two 980's lol

VGA provides the lowest resolution from all of the ways to connect. DVI, DVI-D, Displayport, and HDMI much better. I only go the displayport path.
