Z97 boards also support higher frequency RAM, going up to 3200MHz, while the H97 boards have a max of 1600MHz. In all honesty, it won't make much of a difference unless you're a hardcore video/photo editing enthusiast. You're better off selecting RAM based on timings. A lot of tests have shown the difference to be minimal in most applications.
If you don't overclock, plan on SLi or require stupidly fast RAM, go with H97. The latter also tends to have fewer SATA/USB ports, but not by much.
