Whenever I try to go to most websites my computer tells me that it cannot open the site because the connection is not secure.

I have Century link broadband and I am using AVG antivirus and it is up to date and secure.

any help?

Thanks

The date and time are wrong. When I change them to be correct they are wrong again the next time I reboot.

Yeah, this is the CMOS battery. If this is a laptop and if you are uncomfortable with opening it take it to a reputable computer repair shop. Not geeksquad either!

Thank you!!!!
I replaced the battery and did all the updates that have been waiting and all is well, at least for now.
I appreciate the info.

You'll be fine now. The cmos battery is what allows the system to keep the correct date and time when pc is turned off. And without the correct date and time, you won't be allowed to visit most websites.
