I just found out today that I should technically be using the 64 bit version of Home Premium Sp1 since T7400 processor upgrade in my D620 will support it.

Does anybody happen to have the reinstall iso for 64 bit Home Premium they could message me a link to? Windows turned off their servers again...

EDIT: Solved the problem downloading the .iso from a German mirror. Apparently they yanked the downloads before Microsoft could deny its client base again.

Does your memory controller actually address >4 GB?

If you have something like a 945GM or PM chipset it still won't address more than ~3.5 GB or so of RAM. I have this issue in my MX6959 laptop with a T7200.

In that case it's still beneficial to use 32-bit since you don't waste address space running the same applications (which use more memory in a 64-bit WOW64 compatibility environment).
