ok i have a laptop dell studio xps 1640. i wanted to sell my laptop so i can buy a tablet but i decided it would be better to upgrade my laptop. i already ordered a usb 3.0 express card for the side of my laptop and i am interisted in mobile broadband. I am not sure what cards to use, and they are all 3g. I am also wondering if the 3g speeds will still work ince the tech is old, and I am thinking of using T mobile.

The card you bought is 3G only, and usually is just operable with SIM cards/plans.

Most providers will also sell you the dongle for LTE/WiMax depending on the plan you subscribe to, which is much faster.

Did you have a particular budget?
