Random Ping Spikes

Hello Everyone, I have appeared again in need of your help!

Just got Black Ops 3 for PC and I'm experiencing ping spikes. Sometimes I'll have a solid 50 to 60 ping and I'm happy with that, but sometimes it will spike to 200,300,400+ which is not really playable.

I'm currently using a NetGear Wireless Adapter to connect to the internet (because of issues with wired connection) but I tried using an ethernet cable to ensure that wireless interference wasn't causing my bad ping, but NOPE I still got the ping spikes with the wired connection.

I tried pinging my router and it looks to be spiking while pinging it:

None of my friends are experiencing these spikes. Any help is appreciated and I will provide any extra info if needed! :)

Thanks,
Gun

Did you explicitly disable the wireless adapter when using a cable? What router is it? What wired nic are you using?

You should always get single digit replies from the wired side to your router's LAN interface unless something is incredibly wrong.

Yeah I removed the wireless adapter when testing the wired connection! The router is a 'BoB Lite'. I'm just connecting the ethernet cable to the port in my Motherboard

You probably already tried this, but run a continuous ping to your router, then reboot your router. Watch when it comes back up if the high pings start immediately or after it's been on for a bit.

Thanks for the idea, although I think I've fixed it! I pretty much googled 'high ping spikes' and then tried every fix that everyone suggested, so I have no idea what actually fixed it but I don't SEEM to be getting high ping spikes anymore. I'll be back if anything changes.

Thanks!
