Port Forwarding not working .

Before I start I did follow the instructions to the Portforwarding Thread. When I inputted my port into canyouseeme.org It says it cannot see my service. Im trying to get SSH for my server but tried testing this on my other computer yet it wont go through. My friend says it could be my router/modem combo not letting me get through. I can SSH internally but outside the network I cannot.

Please Help ,

Thanks.

What's your whole topology?
Did you also allow the traffic on your software firewall (Windows FW or iptables).

Typically if you just have a single NAT edge then that's the only device you have to forward ports on, however depending on the application firewall rules may drop the traffic as it arrives from those external sources.

Its able to forward its ports. The only port its able to forward is router remote management.
The Whole topology is one router. My computer > router > isp internet
I do not beleive there is a firewall i believe since I am using Linux as my server. All services available locally.

So me being unknowledged on this situation, I didnt know i had to pay to make my Ext. IP address static and reserve it on NETGEARS server. I now have port 22 open. Should I also have port 80 as well open, I Read somewhere I should but I didnt follow up on reading it. Anyways how do i create credentials for those who want to enter it from outside the network ?

These two things don't make sense in the same sentence. You can easily port forward on a dynamic address.

This.

You can also use dynamic DNS to make sure a url stays updates with the latest ip address.
