running your pc through your tv

building a media center and looking for the cheapest way of running it through the tv, I remember the USB to AVI adaptors but I can't seem to find them, anyone got any other suggestions? I'm looking for something really cheap, and the PC doesn't have AGP slots.

its what Im looking for just looking for something cheaper, I had one once that I got for $20 but lost it when I moved out of my dorm

Well, if your computer has a svideo outlet that is your best bet. And I am sure your computer has a headphone jack so...Go to radio shack get yourself a svideo cable and an audio adapter. All really cheap. Hope this helps.

dont have a svidoe out, its an old computer with onboard video

But that's an RGB to VGA adapter! You'll need a VGA to Composite adapter.

lol, I didnt even check it out, someone sent it to me so I just said ok, hehe, oh well I haven't ordered it yet but trust me I would have read everything about it before ordering anyway thanks for pointing it out.

my card has svideo out but the tv doesnt lol well the one in the living room does not the one in my room lol oh well.

You can use an svideo-composite cable for that. Like this one: http://www.svideo.com/msvmrca12.html (but this is a bit expensive, google it and you'll find cheaper ones).

I did find a PCI graphics card with tv out for about $20usd so I'll probably go with that

You can easily (sorta) find TNT2 cards with TV Out for ubercheap
