Computer Problem

Hi my computer specs are
CPU Intel I7 4770K
Memory 16gigs DDR3
Mobo Gigabyte Z87X-OC-CF
GPU Gigabyte 980 G1
PSU Corsair 850

There is no overclock it is all running at stock, what happens every so often is when i turn it on it will default to the Mobo logo splash screen then go into a boot loop (i always have the logo screen disabled)
I have to turn the power off at the mains and hold the power switch in for a few seconds and then it boots fine, this happens randomly and can happen if there is a windows update and a restart is required.
I have run Prime and there is no heat issues or memory issues, does anyone know of what this could be thank you for your time.

Sounds kind of odd, I'd clear CMOS, redo your settings and then upgrade BIOS if there is a newer version.

Have you checked the debug display on your motherboard? The next time it gets stuck in a boot loop, check out that display and see where it gets stuck at and starts to reboot itself in a loop.

I had that happen on my mobo once, and was caused by failing RAM which eventually turned into a completely failed RAM and I couldn't post. This all took almost a year before it went from random boot loops occasionally to full blown RAM failure.

Do what @beers said first, and see if it still does that. If it still goes into boot loops, then follow the procedure described above and see if you can isolate which boot code it's stuck at.

Things I'd try:

Update to latest BIOS

Run MEMTEST

Disconnect all drives except your OS drive, make sure OS drive is on the first SATA port (0 or 1 depending on your mobo), and make sure that it is boot option 1 in the bios, then after making sure it boots right like that, reconnect other drives.

Almost definitely a storage controller or memory issue.
