Games taking forever to load in Win 10??

Ok so this is my solution to this problem- I need more fast storage anyways... some games load too slow from HDD even under the best of circumstances, so I have ordered a 500GB Samsung 750 EVO. Wanted an 850 EVO. Funds did not allow. Got the crappy 750 instead... still faster than mechanical. That arrives from Newegg in about eight days. Going to do a wipe and reinstall of Win10.

Should I keep using my 840 EVO as my OS drive or should I move the OS over to the 750 EVO and use the remainder of the 750 and entirety of the 840 for games installs? That's all that's on this computer... Windows... Skype.... games. 2TB+ of games...

Basically anything is faster than an HDD.

The 840 EVO is faster than the 750 EVO, so put the OS there and as many games as you can, especially the ones that are heavy on the RAM. It´s not a big difference between the 840 and the 750 so it´s not a big deal if you can´t fit them all there. Something like this:

840 EVO: OS and demanding games.

750 EVO: the rest of your demanding games.

HDD: the rest of your games and all your personal files, and maybe apps like Skype, if you don´t mind them being a little slower and you neeed the space on the SSDs.

I wouldn't say ANYTHING is faster than an HDD. Are you old enough to remember the dark times?

Sounds like a plan. I will follow your advice.

Everything starts somewhere. It has lost it´s value now, but stuff like that is what made shaped our society into what it is today. Probably nobody remembers the Intel 4004 but to this day, in my opinion, is one of the biggest accomplishments of human kind. God bless Faggin.

I probably should have said any SSD is faster than an HDD, so whatever you bought is definitely an improvement.
