AMD will never have the processing power of Intel. But AMD is a good budget computer I guess, but I would still go Intel. Well, for me at least it's necessary I pull enough single threaded power from the CPU for FS2004.

Have you seen the info that's coming out about AMD's RYZEN? It has IPC matching Intel Skylake!!:D

AMD officially has the processing power of Intel. BTW it's worth noting that there have been times in the past where AMD chips have been faster. Pentium 4/Pentium D vs AMD FX (the first FX, not the recent ones) is a prime example of AMD mopping the floor with Intel.

Isn't Intel going 10 NM or something now anyway? ROFL

Yes. That's why I said before, Intel is always one step ahead of AMD. Although Cannonlake is expected for the second half of 2017, and you know how this things are, we'll be lucky if it happens before 2018.

Intel is using what they call 14nm+ Now for the seventh generation core processors. It is an improved process. This will make three CPU generations on the same lithography size. Once silicon can no longer be shrunk we will be in trouble So I guess Intel is trying to space out the amount of time silicon has left before we have to move to Graphene.
