Could you guys check out the attached file and see if I filled out all of the motherboard components correctly? Also, what would number 6 be? Cannot find it.

Thanks for your help!

Everything looks like it's labeled correctly, but I actually don't know what 6 is. My first instinct is PATA/IDE connector, but that's already there. I'm too lazy to look at MOBO's on Newegg right now, but I'm sure it could help on figuring it out. *hint, hint*.

Edit-

Looking at it again. You have SATA all classified for eSATA (black) and SATA (blue) Also, those aren't all just PCI. You have PCI-e too. Actually, what I think is eSATA is more than likely firewire. Neither I have ever used.

And just to confuse the hell out of you. IDE describes both PATA and SATA. It's just that IDE is used loosely for PATA.

Arguably 4 is wrong for the reason stated by Agent Smith. And 7 is probably wrong, the resolution isn't high enough but I'm pretty sure there's not 40 pins in it.

I wouldn't be concerned with the SATA connector colours, I'm 99% sure that in this picture they actually indicate which controller they belong to, rather than one being eSATA.

I figured 7 was likely a floppy connector, but like I said without being able to see the pins I'm just thinking that on it looking a little small. Plus for the age of that board, it seems reasonable to assume it would still have one.

Floppy connector has less pins on it, 34 pins and i just counted #7 with 40. And the one facing out is always a ide channel. They are both ide connectors.

You sure 7 has 40? I just got 17 in 1 row. Either way, considering it's a homework assignment I'd think if they were the same there would be 2 arrows for 1 box.

The sideways facing one is a PATA for sure.

Yes, i was on my phone earlier at work and was able to zoom in really close and count. The photo is at an angle so can't see the last couple sets of pins too good, can barely make them out on my phone.
