Laptop Issue Please Help

My computer keeps restarting randomly giving me the error "Driver_power_state_failure" and sometimes "VIDEO_DXGKRNL_FATAL_ERROR". Also, while looking for solutions I found that the NVIDIA 970M graphics card on my computer has come with does not show up always on device manager. The integrated Intel graphics card is always there, however Nvidia sometimes is not. I contacted Nvidia support recently thinking it was an issue with their graphics card, but they told me it is most likely a BIOS problem or a Wireless Ethernet card problem, however he didn't really know. I have tried updating my video card drivers, changing power settings on the laptop, closing background programs, changing to "High performance mode" in NVIDIA control panel (but now the control panel won't even open giving me an error) and restarting in a clean state safe mode. The forums don't help me either and I am lost at what to do next. I would like my NVIDIA card to be the primary card on my computer and for the laptop to stop randomly restarting with a frowny face and a failure message. Any advice is appreciated since it has been like this for a couple of weeks now.

I have a Gigabyte P55 Laptop with Windows 10 if that helps at all

Do a fresh install of windows and see how it reacts. If it always doesn't appear in device manager then either windows is corrupt or mad motherboard or video card, which you'll need to rma it to get it fixed.

By fresh install of windows, do you mean the "reset" option in the system recovery settings?
