Everything working, monitor isn't

I built a PC a moment ago, and when I turn it on, everything is working, except for the monitor. The fans turn on, the case, CPU, and GPU ones, but the monitor says "no signal". Tried two different monitors and 2 different cables, what could it be?

Tanks!

Do you get any different behavior when connecting the motherboard video?

Did you connect a PC speaker to the motherboard header? The tower 'turning on' doesn't mean it pasts the POST test which would fail before any video could be displayed.

What board are you using?

ASRock FM2A88X PRO3+. The Athlon doesn't have a Graphic processor. Would it change anything if I connected it there?

I did connect a speaker the first time, and the second one I didn't connect anything, just the power and the HDMI.

Connect a speaker so you can hear beep codes. It's not passing post for some reason. Since the cpu doesn't have integrated video connecting to motherboard won't do anything.

Is there a hardrive connected, if so did you try to disconnect it and see if the system will post to the BIOS. Is the video card seated all the way down into the PCI-E slot??

I disconnected the Hard drive and it boots... Shit. What does that mean?

It's usually hard drive that causes that but could also be bad sata cable or bad power cable. Try connecting a different drive to test.

Will do, probably tomorrow. I have to study and I´m sick of re building that machine. I also forgot to mention that it booted once, requested me to insert a valid something (to install the OS) and when I tried it didn´t work. Turns out I had the wrong Pen drive. When I got the right one and wanted to boot againg it didn´t work. I don´t know if that helps.

With the other suggestions posted you may want to try connecting the hardrive to another SATA connector on the motherboard and switching the power connector on the hardrive with another one to rule those out as being bad. The hardrive is receiving power, yes??

Yes the power and SATA cables are plugged. I already tried switching SATA ports and the same happens. I'm going to try and use it on my main PC with a different power and SATA cables and write back.

So I've done everything, here:

1- Tried with different HDD (proved to be working, is the one I'm using) and the problem persists. With it, doesn't boot, without it, goes to BIOS.

2- Tried different PC with the "broken" HDD. Working good. Installed Win10 and I'm using it right now.

3-Tried different SATA cables and ports, the problem persists.

I'm so lost here. Could it be a Mobo problem? All ports are broken somehow?

Oh another thing, not sure if its worth mentioning. When it's in BIOS, the thing has some sort of explorer. When you place the mouse over the PCIE where the GPU is, it says "empty"

WTF?? No option to select "disabled, PCI, PCI-E?? Is BIOS current?? This a mechanical or SSD?? In the mobo manual is there a certain setting you have to set in the BIOS for the HDD to be recognized?? I would think the mobo should auto detect once installed but I have run into a few issues where I had to set things up manually. You could try to enter BIOS and "load default" save and exit or try to clear the CMOS to see if you can jumpstart things.

Ok new info. I went full psycho and basically built it again. Disconnected most power cables and the SATA, and removed the RAM sticks. When I re installed the RAM, I used a different setup, not the one recommended by the manual. I'm pretty sure it's no big deal.

It boots to Windows (as I said its the drive I'm using, so it already has an OS). It works ridiculously slow but I guess reinstalling will fix the issue, since the OS was installed on a different motherboard.

I think the issue is solved. I just want confirmation that nothing bad can happen if I install the RAM in a different order. Thanks.

As long as you install ram so that its in dual channel your fine. What motherboard do you have?

Also, you really can't install windows on a drive in one pc and transfer it to another pc without issues since hardware is different. You'll have to reinstall windows while the drive is inside the system it is intended for.
