Cant wake desktop computer in sleep mode

Wifes computer and windows 10. If computer is not used and goes into sleep mode it works
fine to wake up moving the mouse. If she puts it in sleep mode it will not wake up. I noticed the
light on the mouse does not light up. moving the mouse does nothing. do a reset and reboot it works fine.
Any ideas?

What about just pressing the power button to wake it up?

Yea i tried that first after playing with the mouse. had to hold it in and reboot.

Don't hold it in, should just be a matter of pressing and releasing to get it to come back on from sleep mode. Maybe a wrong sleep mode setting in bios?
