Upgrading my Computer a little. Suggestions?

Here is my shopping list of things I want.

Liquid CPU cooler
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019EXSSB...lid=28VTXUBHWJ9DC&coliid=I37LLGMAW3PUGT&psc=1
I feel like my computer is not performing the way it should, I have a Core i5 but with the fan cooler that comes with it. Seems to be running hot. I have a GTX 1070 so I know I'm good there. If any of the liquid cooler, I want this one. Seems the best for the buck.

RAM
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00F902QY...lid=28VTXUBHWJ9DC&coliid=I25UHS9LLTLGG7&psc=1
Every time I check memory, it's been up to 90 or 80 percent when running decent games like BF 1 and Witcher 3. I just feel more safe with a little more RAM that will last a while. Yes, I need DDR3. I have 8 GB.

500 GB SSD
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00OBRE5U...lid=28VTXUBHWJ9DC&coliid=I399FH0WD8FNBE&psc=1
My other SSD card is almost full, I got an HDD but I know I'm only gonna use that for random storage and small games. So I practically have to get this.

Any other info you need? Mind suggesting anything?

I feel like you're throwing money at a problem hoping it will fix it without even knowing what the issue is. Your specs should perform really well, I'd look into troubleshooting more before buying stuff.

More RAM isn't a bad idea though. Unless you want to go nuts with overclocking, just get an air cooler.

@Darren Yeah, but I'm kind of out of options. I've literally done everything at this point to try to fix the performance. Nothing has been working. I also would rather not get a fan for my CPU because I've heard they're loud and annoying. Plus I wanna replace some of my case fans because they've been making a weird loud humming noise and it's not because of dust. I literally tape a square piece of paper on top of my computer covering the edges of the two fans to quiet it down. It's not effecting the performance though.

I'm not really looking to overclock anything but possibly my CPU if I get a better cooler. So yeah, plus I feel like if I get more RAM now I won't have to worry about it in the future, you know?

Water coolers are not inherently quieter than air cooler as they still both consist of fans and heatsinks. You can get loud and quiet ones of each. My point being is that the cost to get a watercooler isn't worth it if you're not trying to push serious overclocks. A $30 air cooler will do the job just as well for your uses and likely be quieter than that H100i would be. I know my 212 with 2 fans on it was quieter than my H100.

It's loud now because you're presumably using the stock cooler, which always suck.

Ok ok makes sense, I trust you. Well then I still would like to replace my other two fans, any suggestions? (120mm) Also, what Air cooler that will fit in a midtower? Yeah it does suck.

If you give your components it would be easier to know what can fit and what can´t.

The best AIO for the money in my opinion is the H60.

Also do you want to overclock? What I5 do you have? If the stock cooler is too noisy and that´s the only reason, just get a good budget HSF and forget about it. Anything is better than the stock.

Well I got a MSI GTX 1070, Core I5 4th gen, 8GB RAM, Case is Thermaltake Versa H22 - mid tower - ATX. Everything else is pretty basic. 500 GB SSD. Anything else?

I did look at that H60, but is it really worth it? Or can I just get a $30 or $40 Air cooler?

I do want to overclock a little? I'm new with overclocking. I know. Just need a good suggestion. Also, what fans for top of case? @Deadpool

Is it a Z97/Z87 (your motherboard I mean)? Otherwise you can't OC.

Good case fans are the Corsair AF/SP 120/140 depending on your case.

I haven't tried it myself, but I have read tests, I do not know if I should trust the sources either, so I'm going to leave it up to you:

Good budget AIO: H60

Good budget HSF: 212 EVO

In many posts I've seen the H60 beat the EVO but I do not know for sure. You'll have to check yourself, maybe find something I didn't. If it´s not very far OC I don´t think you´ll notice the difference.

Don´t think too much about it, I mean I bought a $20 cooler and it´s 12091029109201920910291029 times better than the crap that comes with the CPU. I would give back my SSD before going back to the stock cooler.

Just get the 212+, save yourself the money. You can still overclock fine on those. H60's don't make much sense to me because if you're going to spend money on an AIO you might as well do it right and get an H100 or similar dual rad.

I agree on the EVO, but not the rest. Unless the H60 is worse or the same as the EVO, or another cheaper HSF, then yes, get a real AIO, or don´t get one at all, and I´m also a big fan of the H100 and the H110. But why wouldn´t he get the H60 if it works better than the cheaper or equal coolers?

I mean if he can afford it and wants to pay for it the H100 is a great idea. But if he can´t and the H60 is the better option?

who needs an AIO when you can get a Noctua D14/15.
Because it kinda looks like you jammed two turds between some metal heatsink. Not a huge fan of that aesthetic. :p I hear they work really well though.

I don't think OP needs anything fancy, just something quieter than the crap HSF Intel chucked on there.

Hmmm I see. I really appreciate the suggestions. I'm more on the edge for the H60, since it'd work just as well as anything else and not take up my entire case. Also, can I really not overclock then? Because that's a bummer. XD I totally regret getting this motherboard.

No dude I didn´t say that. I asked which motherboard do you have. Sorry if you already said so, but I didn´t see it.

Also the H60 is a bit expensive in my opinion. I´d get the 212.

What's your motherboard? You're likely fine to overclock with a 212 or H60 as long as your motherboard can.

Function over form!

They do work really well though.. As effective has the H80i, if not better.

Move your case up and down rough 2 or 3 times and bye-bye.

What does that even mean... move your case up and down rough.

Don't bother with the H60... Not worth it. If you're not starting with something like a H80i, don't get an AIO.

I´ll give you some clues:

1-Move

2-Up and down

3-Rough

Make the connections buddy.

Those things are way too heavy, it is adviced not to move you PC around too much or too abruptly when installed.
