What's the first game you ever bought for PC?

After I got The Blue Beast in 2014 the first game I got was Darksiders. I got it for free with a Steam code that was given to me from the previous owner of the PC. I actually totally forgot I even had the game and last night I remembered out of the blue & I played the Darksiders for the first time in over 2 or 3 years. I forgot how much fun it was. I played it for probably 3 hours nonstop and I made a short YouTube video about it.

If I had to say the actual literal first game I ever bought, when I had my previous PC (it was an HP Pavilion 724C and also my first computer, I still have it and it lives in my closet as a Linux server and NAS) it was Need for Speed Hot Persuit 2. So much nostalgia for that game.

So anyways, what's the first PC game you bought?

No idea. The oldest game I own is a copy of Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold which runs perfectly fine on DOSbox.

Oldest games I remember playing as a kid were Kings Quest V, The Magic School Bus Explores the Human Body, and SIMTown.

I had other older games like Police Quest but my dad bought them.
I remember having a Star Wars game, back when voice in games was probably newish. I remember my brother all the time saying "I can't shake em, I can't shake em" while he was playing

I'm not sure what the first game I bought was, most of the early games I played were for an Apple iie
Perhaps one of the first versions of Doom was one of the first games I spent money on for the PC

I think the first game I bought was Garry's Mod... Fun times with friends.. Though I really didn't do much in it but TTT..

Well, my brother bought many games: Motorhead, Thief: the Dark Project (I can't thank him enough for this. It basically introduced me to stealth games),Wizardry 8. After that, the ones I bought are: Hitman 2, Hitman Contracts, the Thief trilogy pack, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Warrior Within, Need for Speed Underground. I also fondly remember that when I went to the US, I bought a pack of Diablo II+Lord of Destruction and Starcraft+Brood War. I only buy the games that I love.

Man, I miss the 90s and early 2000s. So many good games were made back then.

Probably NHL 96 or Monster Truck Madness.

I played a lot of the original NASCAR and NASCAR2 Papyrus games back in the day as well. The first one ran on my P1 120 MHz that had 4 MB of RAM, actually had to hardware upgrade those SIMMs to 16 MB in order to play the second one.

I really can't remember the first PC game I bought, I blame it on too many extra curricular activities in my youth. Some of my favorite games that come to mind:

Kingdom Under Fire - (The original)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kingdom_Under_Fire:_A_War_of_Heroes

Pharoah (Impression Games)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pharaoh_(video_game)

Of course all the Blizz classics (Starcraft, D1, D2, Warcraft series)

Carmageddon - This game was absolutely insane back in the day

Sim City 3000
