Security Issue? Computer Types ;#

I'm not sure what this issue is, it may be a security issue or a problem with the laptop.

About a month ago, my computer randomly began auto-typing a ";#", i.e. ";5" ";2" ";6". This is very disruptive as it sometimes overwrites data I've inputted.

Any ideas? It isn't limited to just one program. I've run scans a few times with obvious issues.

You might have a keyboard problem. You would need to replace the keyboard. I would check in safe mode though and see if you still have the issue. To get into safe mode, on boot up continually press F8 right after BIOS splash screen and just before Windows boots. Just use safe mode without networking, etc.

Now that I've had extra time with the issue, I discovered that it only occurs when I am working at my office. It doesn't do it when I am at a client. Could my office server/computer security have some interference? I don't know software very well, so I can't think where the cause might be. And I can't think of any changes that occurred during the beginning of the year.
