My laptop is more than 10 years old. How to optimize your laptop for Windows 7 ???

The year of release of my computer is 2006.
I show the characteristics of the laptop in photos...

Please, people! Help to optimize the computer. Installed a trimmed Windows 7 build and the minimum number of programs needed to run.

What can be done?

Honestly, probably not much you can do at this point. If you need to have it on a Windows OS, then yeah you're kinda hooped. Switching over to a Linux platform might be better, but you would lack the convenience of a Windows OS.

Buy a new one with better specs. Thats a very low end machine.

I am a student. Have to save money for a long time. Although I will work for a part time job. And what computer or laptop do you recommend to buy? Interested in inexpensive and fast.

Can't be used in the same sentence. What kind of budget are you looking at? Is there an online store where you buy computers from?

Many online stores. There are new and second-hand. I count on a budget computer. I also want to use it for the Internet (watch videos, read news and watch emails) ... On the Acer TravelMate 2490 it's hard to do.

The budget of 100-200 $
This amount is equal to the monthly payment of the builder (I'm from another country if you notice by spelling)

You won't find anything good in that price range unless you go used/refurbished. If you can give me a website I can give you recommendations possibly.

It is better to give recommendations, please, with what characteristics to buy a computer / laptop.

If you give John a website he can look for something suitable for you, as you stated you're from another country he needs to know what website you'll be using. We don't know what dollars you're using, Canadian, Australian, Hong Kong, so hard figure out your budget, what country are you from?

He's pretty much recommending additional budget/funding. $100-200 is not enough for something that either isn't super old or is super low end (slow).

As mentioned, a $100-200 used laptop is gonna to likely be an absolute dog. You need either a larger budget and to save more. or make due with the current machine. No amount of tweaking or formatting is going to get any kind of positive result from a decade+ old machine.

In addition, suggesting stores/products when we don't know your country or currency doesn't help - but regardless, a 100-200 dollar budget is not going to yield much of anything.

I sell 2nd gen i5 laptops at work with 4GB of RAM and a 250GB Hard Drive for $200

Not earth shattering but certainly usable and it's not too hard to find similar stuff online.

Edit: In fact this online one is the same model with an SSD tossed in and considerably less.
