Looking for an Alternative for Cable TV for My Mother

Greetings.

My mother is at wits end with both of her cable companies as they offer HORRIFIC customer service, programming and tech support and at high, monthly costs.

She is NOT computer savvy and doesn't want to try and learn the internet.

Does anyone know of a device or service I can buy to attach to her Smart TV so that she can receive cable channels, but without the expense, hassle or frustration of dealing with a company?!?

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!!

A Chromecast, Roku, or Firestick and pair it with a Netflix and Hulu subscription. Could also add an HBO subscription in there if you really want.

But would he not still have the "expense, hassle or frustration of dealing with a company?!?" ?
A firestick offers free streaming (she can watch a lot without paying, however it can be laggy sometimes) Not sure about the Chromecast.

If you find $20-25 (which is about 1/4 the price of cable) no.

If you buy a hacked firestick, which is illegal.
Hacked? Their are various apps for download on a firestick that let you watch TV shows not even shown on cable. They suck though anyways. I don't even own a firestick though, my friend does.

But Chromecast, Roku, or Firestick would ALL require my mother to have an internet connection from her CABLE company, correct?

There is no way to set these up WITHOUT the INTERNET, correct?

( BTW, thank you all for the responses )

Well, the simplest solution is local programming. Just buy a satellite reciever and hook it up to her TV. It's free, but the programs are local, which means the range of the satellite depicts what stations she receives. Unfortunately it does not have mainstream channels like FXX for say, and can be a crappy during bad weather.
