Got a Problem with a Friend's Computer?

Hello All;

My friend is in a bit of a pickle. Well not much, but it is driving him nuts. Since he lives in another state, I remotely go into his computer to do updates and scan his computer with Malwarebytes since he has the free version. And he doesn't do it often enough. He doesn't know much about computers and he had a problem with his computer. I really don't know who he called but the person that remote into his computer to help him fix it was from India. Any who, this Indian jerk off had setup his computer somehow with a logon password. Not the standard ones that we logon with, but similar to a bios password and he has to type in 2 letters is all. It is almost like a batch file. This comes up way before Windows start screen comes up. Here is a picture of what it looks like. I have been looking for the stupid thing months and I am at my wits about it. If I were there, I would backup his system and take the computer back to the default setup.

Yeah, I've seen that a few times from clients. The best thing for him to do is to backup his data and reinstall windows. Who knows what else is hidden on that system.

Thanks John, I wished he would've called me first. But what do you expect. I wish people would actually sit down in front of there computer try to learn something about them. Other than just turning it on and getting on Facebook.
Like this woman that I remote into her computer last Saturday. She was going nuts because she couldn't get into Facebook also. So I did a request from Facebook and they would send a email. But this woman doesn't delete any of her old emails, so I had to wade through 859 emails to get to the one that I needed. And she has a slow internet connection to boot, because she gets the lowest priced from Centurylink.

Sorry about rambling on.

No problems, I feel the same way about how stupid people can be.
Hey Johnb35:
Finally fixed the problem with my friend's computer last night. He couldn't get any windows updates for a couple of Months now, message came up saying something about a windows 10 doesn't support the "Syskey.exe" anymore. I didn't know what it was till I search for it on duck duck go. That picture at the top of post here is what it is, finally reset the password to blank and saved it. Now he doesn't have to put in the 2 letters anymore. And he can boot and load windows like it suppose to do. And he getting is updates again.

This is where I got the answer to the search from, and how to fix the problem.
