You are missing a whole bunch from the OTL log. You can try zipping up the text file and attaching it to your post instead.

Yeah, that was it. Are you still getting the "detecting threats are being cleaned" message? If so, its coming from windows defender. I would highly recommend downloading a free antivirus program such as Avast or bitdefender. If you install Avast make sure you do a custom install and only choose to install the web shield, file shield, behavior shield and if you use a third party program to download your email then also choose the email shield, uncheck everything else.

Alright... just downloaded Avast and it's still occurring. Same message.

It's weird b/c the ".exe" doesn't download but there's a few others that work, perfectly.

To be honest, I would stop using whatever you installed, get rid of it. If avast is installed and active then windows defender is automatically disabled, at least it should be. If you really want to trust this "mod" then contact whoever made it for support.

Got it! I had to go into Microsoft Sercurity Essentials Settings and disable Real-time protection.

Really appreciate your help, thanks a million!

Oh and... FYI, your directions are so precise that it's hard to make a mistake. And, thanks for the Avast. I really needed that. Cheers!

You are welcome. Since you have microsoft security essentials, you should uninstall it as you can't have 2 programs installed at the same time.
