Very Strange Mouse Issue...

I'm having an issue with wireless mice (mouses?) that I can't figure out.
It seems like the batteries are dying, but they aren't. The pointer just slows down randomly, and even completely stops at times.

I didn't have any new batteries for the old mouse so I plugged in a backup wireless mouse, but the problem persisted.
I ran both Malwarebytes and Avast looking for a virus, then I uninstalled the mouse in device manager and restarted the computer. Next I replaced the batteries in the backup mouse (takes a different type than my other). None of those fixed it.

I went and plugged in a wired mouse and it's working perfectly...

Anyone know what the issue might be?

Do you have a lot of 2.4 GHz interference in your environment? Lots of wifi, baby monitors, some DECT cordless phones, etc.

Not that I can think of. It was working a few days ago just fine. Overall it's not a huge issue, since wired mice work just fine. It's just something I found to be a bit odd and couldn't figure out.

I have had similar problems with wireless mice. I only buy cheap stuff because I only use my PC as a tool but I ended up abandoning my very cheap Texet mouse and going back to a wired mouse. I haven't looked into why the wireless mouse slows down as it is only used on my desktop. I don't use a mouse on my laptop, only the mouse pad.

Rubbish it's all cheap even the stuff you pay huge dollars for. It's all made in Chinese sweat shops.

As someone that sells a lot of cheap stuff at my shop, this is definitely false. Wireless stuff in particular is noticeably worse on the cheaper end. The mouse and keyboard combos I sell are trash.

Dude, just stop using wireless mice. It's a nice marketing gimmick but if you game or need any type of precision wired is the way to go. There's no issues with wired, it's plugged right in. I use this one A LOT and have had no issues. It's $40 and gets the job done. The only application imo for wireless mouse is for the business guy on the go or student that will be moving locations often. Just me though man

It's cheap and has four DPI settings in case you need to change it in-game for whatever reason, or you can not use that feature. Has other buttons for games but I never used any of them.

Maybe it's you.

My made in China iPhone is one of the best and most popular devices on earth since human history and it keeps selling driving Apple the largest capitalized company in the world in man kind's history as well.

90% of the world's computers and laptops are made in China as well and I think those computers run the world.

Look around, you are surrounded by those "rubbish" as you called it.

i suspect maybe the sensors. Ive had issues and sliding mouse on table and no movement.
Cleaned the table and have used say a paper towel and maybe some pledge. works fine.
take a tissue and wet and wipe well. may fix the issue. and wipe the sensor.
