Is there an RJ45 spiltter that will work with two devices simultaneously? I have one ethernet cord running to my entertainment system, I want to hard wire both my xbox and android box at the same time so I don't have to keep switching.

Please don't, just get a switch.

You can theoretically rj45 split on both ends but you're limited to 100 Mbps and it's completely rigged.

OK, so I just plug it in at my entertainment center then split up the signal?
Yes it will forward frames from whatever else is connected through the shared uplink port.

'Split up the signal' is kind of a misnomer in Ethernet networks.

Ah, company grade is a C and the quality of reviews suck. A lot of deception. https://www.fakespot.com/product/ne...in-metal-case-essentials-edition-gs305-100pas

I never did care for Netgear crap. Anything else better?

Edit- Reran a scan and now it's an A on reviews, but company grade remains at C. I guess I'd get it then.

When you don't know what you're talking about

What do you mean I don't know what I'm talking about? I posted a fakespot rating, company grade is a flipping C. And I can attest to Netgear's crap as a user. Just because you do networking for a living, doesn't make you all high and mighty. So you just need to close the puke hole and accept the fact this is a forum and thus there WILL be varying opinions.

Did I break it down far enough that you can understand? Capisce?

I'll take real world experience from an expert over some reviews on a website that are probably heavily inflated by reviews of cheap low end routers bought at Walmart that people don't know how to use.

It's a god damn switch, manufacturer is basically irrelevant anyway.
