How to make money with my computer?

I have bought a new computer last summer because my old one died but I also wanted to play Doom.

But now since I don't really like to play games anymore, I've been thinking about using my PC's hardware to make some money.

I would kindly ask for tips. Like, could I use this computer for video rendering, programming, coding, etc.

What would I need to learn in order to make money? Are there easier and/or more difficult ways?

Thanks!

Look into web development. You will need to learn the languages HTML and CSS (both super easy) and JS (bit more advanced) to become a licensed front end developer. You can also get into back end, but you will need to learn more about servers. If you learn both, you qualify as a full stack developer.

It more depends on your skillset as to what you can provide. The PC itself doesn't really do much without you doing things on it.

Duh. XD I know that, silly. Deerling7 provided excellent advice, as I was thinking about something along the lines of web development.

I specifically asked: What do I need to learn? I didn't assume the computer would make money for me just by being there. :) Now, what about crypto currencies? Is my graphics card/CPU up to snuff for it? Is the electricity consumption really through the roof with that one? Is it too late to jump into the crypto currency thing?

Then you can already answer this question :)

The amount of time you'll spend trying to learn something will make your current PC hardware obsolete, however if there's a professional angle of computing you enjoy over others (servers, networking, etc), then you can work on turning that into a profession which spans a larger arc than your specific computer or your original question.

You can try mining on the 1050Ti, they aren't the fastest but consume ~75w TDP which isn't that expensive on the electricity side, but you will also get a correspondingly less amount of crypto out of it as well.

crypto mining!

i have 1 card in my computer and i leave it mining when i am not using it, going to purchase another card soon, and make it 2 cards

i also have a mining rig with about 4 cards, making about 10-15usd per day

I am using Bitcoin Miner to mine Satoshis, but it would take years to mine a decent of USD. On average, it seems like I can mine 1 satoshi every 5 minutes. That means 12 satoshis an hour. 288 satoshis a day if the PC was running 24/7.

288 satoshis = $0.03

I'd have to keep the PC running for at least a month non-stop just to mine $1. Totally not feasible at all with this GPU.

AMD Cards are much better, which is why they are so high price. The RX 470 or RX 570 is the sweet spot.

Unfortunately, I don't know how to reply to that. I did not plan or want to invest into a new graphics card to mine bitcoin. I know nothing about it. I've only recently did some research and tested my system out. Results are poor.

Don't bother with mining, you're better of learning a marketable skill than jumping on the mining hype train late.

I am afraid I'm very late to the party - I'm expecting the bubble to burst any time now.
Agreed, I remember hearing about it when I was in high school about 2011-2012ish and wanting in on it but not having the money. Should have... :/

That's what I said in 2011, and 2013, and 2014. Each time I ended up stopping mining. If I had kept with it I wouldn't need to work right now. A 1050 Ti should be able to make about $40-$50 a month on Nicehash--it's definitely not the best card for mining, but it's something!
