epson c1700 - problem with magenta toner

Good evening, I bought this printer five years ago, it has always worked well, but unfortunately lately I have problems with magenta toner, this color prints faded and even the red prints it orange.
I noticed that if I put my finger on the paper the color was not absorbed by the paper,
The problem is maybe the toner or the fuser?

Have you replaced the toner cartridge? Are you using genuine replacements or cheap ones? How much life is left in the drum? Also check drum to see if anything is on the roller to cause it.

no the toner cartridge is compatible, the cost of original is very high, I don't think that the drum is end of life, the papers printing is about 1000 pages.
I saw a little toner on the drum, how can I remove it, without damaging the drum?
can I use a soft brush and paper?

i just used paper towel when I had something on the drum that was causing an area not too print.

Very very simply the way a laser printer works is that the toner is heated and that fuses the the toner to the paper. If one colour is not being fused to the paper then the heat for that colour is not being applied. So i would say the fuser drum for that colour is shot.
