Where can I find Galaxy Firmware downloads?

Curious if anyone knows of another site other than Sammobile for Firmware update download?

I wanted to flash my Galaxy s6 to an older Update. I found a site but its not free and it takes 10 hours to Download. I don't mind 2-3 hour cap limit for Free user but I don't want to pay money for it.

Thanks!

Interesting. Too bad they only have an older (outdated to me) version of the Firmware I need. It would be great if they had other options available but all they have is a really old update and nothing more. Thank you though.

What Build are you looking for? Why not just get get Odin, Root it, flash a Recovery, then install whatever you'd like?

I have Odin installed, don't really want to root. I would like the September Build (Verizon) Galaxy s6 G920VVRS4DQI1 this was when I was having great battery life! and trust me I searched on Google for over an hour. I found 1 site that has ALL the Updates but it wants you to wait 10 hours for the Download or pay $6 for 1 week which is an utter ripoff.

Reason being for wanting to Flash a different build is because Several Updates from this year (2018) are causing extreme battery drain. Around September I was getting little over 6 hours OST where as with the several last couple of updates this year Its being constantly dropping for the worse. I was barely getting 3 Hours OST.

SamMobile is the only Legit site I found that has these Firmware Updates but they also don't have the one I want. I did get the November Update from them and flashed it 3 days ago and already by OST has gone up to close to about 4.5 hours which is great improvement but I know my phone can do 6 OST with the right Build/Update.

The extreme battery drain issue with the recent 2018 updates is a common issue. A lot of people said Samsung did it so people would buy the New Galaxy phones on purpose. Who knows.

This is the site that has them all but wants you to wait 10 hours for the Free Download or pay $6 for a week.

Sammobile is quicker only 3 hours for the File to download but they only have One update for Android 7.0 (November one) the rest are 6.0
I got the November one from here and its doing great, lots better. Would Love September can't find it.

Thanks.

3 year old battery, could be failing.

Chrome on my S5 has been causing serious system slow downs and battery drain if I don't clear the browsing data; cookies/ cache, etc. weekly.
Negative sir! phone has being functioning top notch the one and half years I've owned. The issues and its a known issue started with the 2018 Updates. Phone is working great so is the battery, the update is the problem.

I flashed to the November update and my battery automatically went to 4 1/2 hours SOT from the 3 before.

Seriously, just Root it and flash whatever you want. Far more battery-optimized custom ROMs out there, plus you won't be further loaded down with all the Verizon crap on it. Heck, you could even use a stock Rooted ROM if you wanted.

Alright I'll look into it. Had considered doing this but never done it before. Will see what I find.

I just like Flash because its so easy using Odin. Just wanted an older Update installed instead of the new one but will see.

Thank you

No kidding? Can you recommend anything? I'm on an S5 and would really like to improve the experience instead of buying a new phone.

Never had an S5 so I'm not sure what are out there. XDA has a custom ROM thread in each of their phone subgroups

If there is a Blu Kuban version of it (and you like the color blue), I recall it being very lightweight/battery friendly on my S2. Not sure what models he customized after the 3.

I recently subbed to XDA Forums but I find it so hard to maneuver through their Forums, like I can't find nothing lol. I am going to try again for Galaxy s6 ROM's/Flash/Roots.

Thanks
