This doesn't make sense-Both laptops with the same problem?

I have 2 Acer Chromebook 15's. Model CB5-571. 11 months and 6 months old. About 2 weeks ago the one chromebook when you opened it the screen would stay dark. Blue power light is on. The fix is to shut it down and start it up again and enter the password. Chromebooks take about 10 seconds to do this. Pretty fast.

This computer would need to have this done about once every 4 days. Got home today and opened both computers and they both at the same time did this. The other computer never did this. I'm trying to understand how both would have the same exact problem at the same time. I can't see how this is just a coincidence. Would really like your input. Thank You.

Looks like a software bug to me. Both computers probably have a very similar version of ChomeOS if not the same version, so I'd try updating to the latest version and see if that fixes the issue.

Well first of all they're Acer :p. My Chromebook is working fine on it's version (the latest), so I'd advise to update them like @Grantapus said.
