PC build using a new I9 cpu

Below is the build i already have a 4k monitor and a evga 1080 ti i usually just play rts games so probably overkill.

I could make it cheaper an go for the I7 8700k cpu
and put in the I9 cpu in a few years time when i upgrade, save buying a new PC, does that make any sense

I am not able to build myself and PC Specialist seem an ok place to go, any tips would be great.

4K Strategy Games and you're blowing all your money on an i9? What a waste.

Either get 8700K and save the money or get Ryzen so you have an upgrade path in a couple years when the Intel socket will be inevitably obsolete. 4K performance in strategy games would be indistinguishable.

From what I have seen when it comes to gaming at even low resolutions the i9 is only a few percent faster, but a lot more expensive. I would recommend either the 2700x or the 8700k.
