Sounds bad don't it? and I know In my OG post I said $55 right? Well I am on a very tight budget (I am an Adult) and I honestly don't need an SSD but I wanted to upgrade my Computer. Never owned an SSD before so it was a good upgrade. Truthfully though I would love to get a bargain for $35 despite having stated $55 on the Original Post.
For 2 reasons:
#1 My Budget is limited, is not something I really need anyway, but would like an upgrade
#2 $35 for an SSD is a sweet spot its like bargain hunting and you finally find something good. Saving those extra $5 really makes a difference for me.
So if I could I update my OG Post and say "Looking for SSD no more than $35" That's what I would say. Why am I driven that it is possible to find a 240GB SSD for $35? because I found several on eBay just not sure which one is good and what to pick. I'll post links below, maybe we can get to the end of this thread by finding something that's even worth $35 haha lol.
I don't know anything about SLC and DRAM on SSD, is something new to me and don't know the difference, however your explanations above are very clear and direct so I understand what you mean. I also did watch a Video on Youtube explaining this today but still need help. Would hate to have 5 choices to pick from for $35 and buying the worst one just because I didn't know the difference.
So I am going to refine my eBay search and post some links. There's always new stuff being posted on eBay daily so there's always more chances.
Note some of the Links say $40 but was going to make an offer to seller.
This is all eBay has for $40 (Best Offer) and Under for 250GB

Most of those drives are old. Some are very old, like 6 years old. There's no way any of those drives are under warranty. Also, many of the sellers don't accept returns.
If you truly are unable to spend a maximum of $5 to $10 more, then I would recommend you don't purchase an SSD until you can afford it.
I'm not sure what your situation is, but you could recoup $10 by not eating McDonald's once in a pay period or something.
