Hi guys Im scouting around the net for help with my sister in laws build. She had an am3 board with an x4 640 in there and 8gb ddr3 1333. She struggled to game and stream on it so I upgraded her to a ryzen 5 1400 4c/8t system with an msi b350m board and 8gb ddr4 2400mhz.
One of the reasons she wanted to upgrade was this annoying random white screen she was getting. It would happen completely randomly sometimes twice a day sometimes be fine for a few days then happen again. When it happens its complete lock down and she has to restart.
So I thought overhauling with these 3 new parts would fix it and upgrading her to win 10 from win 7. But it hasn't and I'm at a loss. The only thing remaining from the original build are 3 sata 3 SSDs, a 1 tb HDD the 430w corsair psu and a gtx 1050 ti. She also has a 20 inch lcd hans G monitor to run it all on.
I had her new build up and running at my place for 2 to 3 days and had no white screen and the only component to stand out is that I had it hooked up to my HDTV with hdmi where as she uses dvi to hook up to her hans G.
But that doesn't mean it could be the monitor does it? I don't know....Any advice or insight would be great.
