WIndows 10 Scanning and repairing drive

Is there a way to bypass scanning and repairing drive in windows 10 as it seems stuck on 43%
Is there a way to cancel the scan from this screen

What type of scan? Is it a check disk?

It said it was scanning and repairing drive I left it then at 50% it rebooted and gave me a restart option so restarted it and was looking at the looked to see if the disk was optimised and needed optimising badly so could it have been possible windows was trying to fix the problem automatically?

If this happens at boot then it seems the drive has errors on it and you need to replace it. You can run the hard drive makers disk diagnostic program to verify integrity of the HDD.
