Windows 7 Mouse fuctions acting erratic

This just started a few days ago. Iv had this problem before, sometimes it just goes away on its own. My mouse gets erratic and super sensitive , if I click on a link it open two tabs, then it highlights the link below, or if I click on a photo and then click off, it clicks off the whole album.Or if I want to take out a letter in the text, when I click just before the letter I want to take out, it highlights the whole text. It just acts stupid and makes browsing around difficult becauseit has a mind of its own. I have done a virus scan, all is clear, I have removed the driver and reinstalled, just by plugging the mouse back in, I have tried the mouse in all other usb ports, stilll im getting eratic ,stupid responces from my mouse. Anyone ever have this issue?

Maybe the mouse is starting to give up the ghost. (Die on you). Try a different mouse.
