CPU reverts to original clock after standby - Windows xp

Hi,
I have my processor overclocked in the bios. It works fine, but when the system comes out of Standby it reverts back to the original clock. Is there a way of preventing this, short of not using Standby? My boards is an Asus P4PE2-X.

The CMOS battery might be dead (the cell battery on your motherboard).

Hi Kyle,
I don't think so. I haven't had any problems with it keeping it's settings, after it's shut down.
Good thought though.

Hi Kyle/John,
I went to the 'hibernate' option. It keeps it's settings after coming out of it.

Hibernate and sleep are different. Restart and Shutdown are different again. Enable the correct S3 and S1 settings in the motherboard, do what John said.
