hello, i am not sure what is wrong with my laptop but it is surely not functioning well. Below are some of the problems i have been noticing:

1. i cannot move(drag and drop) my desktop icons but it gets solved sometimes when i open "task manager"
2. i cannot edit my photos well in Photoshop and saving file does not actually happen
3. i cannot close my apps well
4. everything i type in search/address bar in my web browser gets deleted after i type few words/letters.
5. same happens when i m naming my new file.
6. in ms word it does not allow me to change tabs from "home" to "file" to "insert" to "reference" etc. but it gets solved after i click "back arrow" button a few times.
7. my free avast antivirus does not detect any malware.

First of all lets run some general cleanup software such as Ccleaner to improve system performance.

Download Ccleaner here.

https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/download/standard

Install the program and run it. This will probably take some time if its never been ran.

Next step would be to download and run Malwarebytes.

https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/thankyou/

Download, install and press scan and let it quarantine whatever it finds.

Then download and run ADWcleaner

https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/adwcleaner

Download, install and scan then remove whatever it finds, system should reboot afterwards.

Then use try doing some of the things and see if they work well.

Those files are safe. Not sure if you ran anything to cause this to happen. The proper boot device will either be the first or second one depending on system was setup. You also could have errors on the hard drive causing the boot issue.

So is it still not booting into windows? Either windows is corrupted or as I said, the hard drive could have errors on it. Do you have another machine to where you can create a bootable cd to test the hard drive?
